From January 1st 2018, Molly's Network in Tanzania will be taking time to assess its impact and effectiveness over the most recent phase of its operations. This will help to strengthen the model and financial sustainability required to operate in the changing Tanzanian context.
In order to do this, we are commissioning an independent evaluation and will be seeking feedback from a range of partners for their thoughts and reflections on the organisation and the model. If you are contacted, we would like to thank you in advance for contributing to this process.
The accreditation scheme developed by Molly's Network is the first of its kind in Tanzania. We have piloted new ways and methods of building capacity and have learnt a great deal from the process - which has supported a significant number of local partners in their work with some of the most disadvantaged communities.
We believe passionately in the empowerment of Tanzanian non-profits and the promotion of accountability - which will remain a key objective in future work. We are immensely proud of the difference Molly's Network has made to date, and the partnerships we have been able to forge. This has only been possible with the support and encouragement of people like you.
We would therefore like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has engaged with us and supported this work. We are also greatly indebted to Julia Angeli, the Executive Director for Molly's Network in Tanzania, who will be leaving the organisation in January - most immediately for a period of maternity leave. Julia has contributed a huge amount during her time with Molly's Network and we would therefore also like to take this opportunity to offer our congratulations and every good wish to Julia for the future.
If you have any questions, suggestions or feedback, please continue to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will of course be in touch again to update you on the recommendations from the evaluation and next steps.
"I was so impressed with the work and dedication of the Molly's Network members when I met them at a training. Thank you for the opportunity to get more applications into the community and share with these organizations. I continue to be impressed with the work you do so well." - Anonymous Grants Coordinator at a Foreign Mission in Dar es Salaam
"Finding organisations that are not already receiving large sums is difficult and also comes with a large risk factor.
Molly's Network has enabled us [Sandvik Mining] to identify suitable partners and also helps us to mitigate any risk factors."
